The Case For Paul's Conversion (Part 1)

Dec 11, 2022    Pastor Ronald H. Gann

The Saul of Acts 8 is a far cry from the man named Paul that he will become in Acts 9. The Saul of Acts 8 has little in common with the Paul we say goodbye to in Acts 28 twenty-five years later. The Saul in Acts 8 was a young man who took pride in making martyrs out of Christians. The Paul in Acts 28 is an old man who took pride in becoming one. So, what was it, specifically, that transformed the Saul of Acts 8 into the Paul of Acts 28? The answer is found in Acts 9:1-31. There, on the Damascus Road, while on route to persecute more Christians, the one who Saul thought to be dead, the one whose followers he gladly victimized, the one known as Jesus of Nazareth appeared to him in his glorified body and stopped him dead in his tracks. And what would happened next would change the course of history.
