109 - The King vs. Kings
Oct 4, 2026 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann
In Luke 23:1-12, we witness Jesus standing before Pilate and Herod as He is passed back and forth between political leaders who recognize that He has done nothing deserving death, yet are unwilling to stand for what is right. While Pilate is concerned with political pressure and Herod is fascinated by the possibility of seeing a miracle, neither man truly understands who is standing before them. This passage challenges us to consider how easily we can allow public opinion, personal interests, or curiosity to keep us from responding faithfully to Jesus. As we follow Christ on His journey to the cross, we are reminded that Jesus remained steadfast and innocent even when surrounded by injustice, rejection, and indifference.
