91 - The Triumphal Coronation

Apr 19, 2026    Pastor Ronald H. Gann

In Luke 19:28–44, Jesus approaches Jerusalem and deliberately fulfills prophecy by entering the city on a colt, prompting a joyful crowd of disciples to praise Him as king, declaring peace and glory from God. As He draws near, however, the tone shifts—Jesus weeps over Jerusalem, lamenting that the people did not recognize the time of their visitation and the peace He offers. He foretells the city’s coming destruction because of this spiritual blindness, highlighting both the celebration of His rightful kingship and the deep tragedy of rejection by those He came to save.
