The parables in Luke 15—which consists of the stories of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son—each represents salvation, and the joy that comes when something that once was lost is suddenly found and reconciled to it owner. And each parable concludes with a celebration of tremendous joy at the recovery of that which was thought to be lost, illustrating the response that takes place in heaven when a sinner is saved.
